Remembering the 1917 Silent Parade

Lamenting the 2017 Silent Charade

A century ago today, 10,000 proud black men, women, and children marched in solidarity down New York's Fifth Avenue to protest an epidemic of racist violence against their Beloved Community.

They walked quietly together without uttering a word, but their prayerful plea for peace and justice can still be heard across the generations.

That they put their lives on the line in the Age of Lynching, spoke volumes to their Faith, Intelligence, Organization, Unity, Courage, and Resolve.

Remembering their brave act hearkens us to wonder: Will America ever end the vitriol and violent Racism Game against the Beloved?

If America is to ever be truly great, it must confess its charade of Liberty and Justice for All, and end the Racism Game against the Beloved --- once and for all.
